What the National Certificate isGrading

How a score becomes a grade

Results are computed with the international Rasch model: not just the number of correct answers, but the difficulty of the questions too. That is why the same number of correct answers can yield a different score.

Score → grade

Results are calculated with the international Rasch model. A+ and A mean the maximum score for this subject on admission.
A+
70+Maximum score
A
65 – 69.9Maximum score
B+
60 – 64.9Proportional score
B
55 – 59.9Proportional score

The score on the platform is an estimate. For students who complete a full test the error is around ±3 points on average; on the short diagnostic the spread is wider. The official result appears only after the exam, on the government portal.
