Task

Write your response to the following situation. Some think social networks steal young people’s time and distance them from books and real conversation. Others stress that social networks are a source of knowledge, information and new opportunities. • Write in a journalistic (publicistic) style. • Express your ideas logically and coherently, following the norms of the literary language. The essay must have three parts: I. Introduction. 1) Two or three sentences; 2) do not copy the text of the situation word for word. II. Main body. 1) At least three paragraphs; in each, discuss the positions of both sides and your own view in detail; 2) support the different views with real-life examples; 3) present your own reasoning in detail and with evidence; 4) everything must stay within the topic. III. Conclusion. 1) Summarise the ideas of the main body; 2) two or three sentences. NOTE: Do not write an outline or an epigraph.
